https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742431 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742431#c0 Summary: Font in OBS editor box looks ugly in Firefox and Seamonkey Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: anixx@opensuse.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=471971) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=471971) screenshot User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Firefox 2.0; openSUSE; ru-RU) See the screenshot. The left window is seamonkey, the right window is konqueror/KDE3 - The bold font looks ugly with broken hinting and no subpixel smoothing - The characters in bold font take more space than that of non-bold font which is intolerable for a mono-space font. - The "_" character is invisible in Seamonkey (though visible in Firefox). For example, the "_prefix" constant looks like " prefix". Parts of other characters which occupy the same place also not visible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I guess the font selection of the website is the worst choice ever? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

After the update to 12.1 the font became so ugly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Are you still running Seamonkey 2.1, or is it just a custom UA string? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742431 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742431#c4 --- Comment #4 from Ilya Chernykh <anixx@opensuse.org> 2012-01-24 10:17:15 UTC --- It is seamonkey, in Firefox in appears similarly. Changing font in settings does not affect the editor box. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
