It already happened to my twice -- when I work with Kile and create preview (for kpdf) of the document computer freezes. I cannot move mouse cursor, I cannot use keyboard, even switching caps lock or num lock does not work, power off button is disabled. Screen is not blank, it is "frozen". Please let me know what would help solve this issue, more hardware details? The other report is against KDE4 app, my report is about basesystem (kernel probably). The one thing to fix is okular/kpdf, the other thing is to fix kernel so no app could hang up entire system.
