[Bug 749077] New: xen netback crashes
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749077 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749077#c0 Summary: xen netback crashes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: jdouglas@suse.com ReportedBy: koenig@linux.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- after updating my xen server from 11.3 to 12.1 I get the following fatal net lockup more or less reproducably (this first happend at reboot in "xendomains start", then after reboot and manual xen startup in "xm shutdown -a" and now again after normal reboot. $ rpm -q kernel-xen xen kernel-xen-3.1.9-1.4.1.x86_64 xen-4.1.2_05-1.1.1.x86_64 the server was running rock solid with 11.3 and 19 domUs (uptime dom0/domUs
400 days) before updating:
$ rpm -r /11.3/ -q kernel-xen xen kernel-xen-2.6.34.7-0.7.1.x86_64 xen-4.0.0_21091_06-0.1.1.x86_64 what's "interesting": a 2nd xen server (identical hardware) runs fine so far with 12.1 and 15 domUs (updated from 11.3 some weeks ago). I'll switch that xen server back to 11.3 for now (it's dual boot with two system roots for good reasons... ;-) crash #1 Feb 24 16:55:48 os3 ntpd[4144]: new interface(s) found: waking up resolver Feb
