https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216078 ------- Comment #1 from mhorvath@novell.com 2006-11-01 06:35 MST ------- This bug is invalid because it isn't a bug at all. The xvid codec isn't a part of the openSuSE 10.2 because of a licence issues. However you can uninstall every package which belongs to xine, kaffeine and totem, add the Packman repository (http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_YaST_Package_Repositories) to the YaST Software Sources and install the previously removed packages from it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216078 ------- Comment #3 from mcphrsp@aol.com 2006-11-01 07:37 MST ------- Thanks for your advice, but I am sure you know that there are no openSUSE 10.2 packages available yet from Packman. Just as a general observation, I feel that it is wrong to include deliberately disabled applications in a distro. When I first tried Suse Linux (9.3), I nearly went back to Windows because I was so frustrated with applications that didn't work and especially with all the dependencies required by the replacement packages (I didn't kow about Packman at the time). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
