The window opens where it asks for username and passwd to connect to the nxserver. I give it in and nx crashes after a few seconds. In "details" of the error window is only: "nxssh running with pid ..." /var/log/messages tells me: kernel: [ 1429.663407] nxssh[2570]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f75138afeb6 sp 00007fffe74c6448 error 4 in libc-2.18.so[7f7513787000+1a5000] Downgrading glibc-2.18 to 2.17 or 2.15 did not help. Any idea how to fix it? i just removed all the libz* files and symlinks from /usr/NX/lib and it worked. opensuse13.1, x64 bit
I tried the same without success. Fist my /usr/NX/lib looked like this: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1300984 Jun 20 2011 libcrypto.so.0.9.8 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 138568 Jun 20 2011 libjpeg.so.62.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 243952 Jun 20 2011 libpng12.so.0.1.2.8 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 79152 Jun 20 2011 libXcompsh.so.3.5.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 985776 Jun 20 2011 libXcomp.so.3.5.0 But nxclient complained that libXcomp.so is missing. So i had to set the Link lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Nov 28 10:12 libXcomp.so -> libXcomp.so.3.5.0 Then nxclient complained libXcomp.so.3 is missing. So i set the link: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Nov 28 10:13 libXcomp.so.3 -> libXcomp.so.3.5.0 .. and ran into the same problem as before. Is it possible that libXcomp.so.3,5,0 is buggy? Or is mine corrupted? Is there a way to download it to build it from source? When i configure my box as a local machine it works fine. But i authorize me towards an ldap client. Only clicking "use ldap client" in yast is not enough. After that i have to restart sssd and go back into yast to activate the ldap client again (it says then that it is still in the only way.). Click ok to use ldap then it works again. By the way: the new kde in 13.1 crashes in nxclient. Use "smaller" window managers like enlightment instead. I'll mark this thread as resolved/fixed.
