http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=909625 Bug ID: 909625 Summary: security update fails to install with update applet Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Hardware: x86-64 OS: All Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Maintenance Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: c.forrest@exeter.ac.uk QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build Identifier: patch:openSUSE-2014-746-1.noarch conflicts with MozillaFirefox-branding-upstream.x86_64 < 34.0.5-50.3 provided by MozillaFirefox-branding-upstream-34.0.5-1.2.x86_64 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select to install security update in updater applet 2. 3. Actual Results: update fails to install Expected Results: update should have installed can be resolved by using Yast online update which offers conflict resolution of changing to opensuse branding. This affects both 32 bit and x64 versions of 13.1. Will likely affect all Suse versions as it is a conflict with the Mozilla upstream branding. Reverting to opensuse branding allows the openSUSE-2014-746-1.noarch update to install fine -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=909625 --- Comment #2 from chris forrest <c.forrest@exeter.ac.uk> --- Yes - I do my updates with the update applet in the panel. Not sure that is really relevant as the update also fails using Yast Online update - unless the resolution to switch to opensuse branding instead of upstream branding is selcted. Must be some bug in the openSUSE-2014-746-1.noarch as the detailed error message I have provided indicates. I have no idea why it conflicts - that is why I have posted the problem here.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

If this is actually an issue that affects current versions of openSUSE, please reopen this bug or file a new one. Thanks! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
