Starting Yast and Program Management, then forcing an update to the 3.4.11-2.16-desktop kernel that was already loaded corrected the problem for future reboots. If there is a better way to do this in grub2 you might leave it as a comment here for others that have this problem. Even better if you have a link to instructions on a better way. My Google results were not helpful. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Another work around: (notes in parenthesis) Boot rescue system from DVD login as root (enter commands) mount /dev/____ /mnt (where ___ is your root partition) mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev chroot /mnt mount /proc mount /sys grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg exit (from chroot) reboot -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
