http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=499332 Summary: Lastest java-1_6_0-openjdk update causes backwards text in Firefox Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Java AssignedTo: bnc-team-java@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mlatimer@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The following java-1_6_0-openjdk updates were released to the openSUSE 11.1 update channel yesterday: java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.5.2 java-1_6_0-openjdk-plugin-1.4_b14-24.5.2 After installing these updates, and using the java plugin, all text entered into Firefox (3.0.*) (such as URL field, forms, etc.), would all be entered backwards. This can be easily duplicated by starting Firefox, opening a new tab and launching something that uses java (such as Siebel). After java has initialized, go back to the first tab and try to enter www.novell.com into the URL field. The cursor will stay pinned to the left side of the text field, and the text will end up looking like: moc.llevon.www This was seen on multiple machines - both x86_64 and i386. Backrev'ing to 1.2_b11-22.12 solves the problem.
