[Bug 300198] New: Webcam module in YAST > Hardware
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=300198 Summary: Webcam module in YAST > Hardware Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 6 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kenneth.aar@virkelighet.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Would it be possible to add a webcam configure module in YAST under hardware? I would imagine it would work like this: Choose webcam manufactuerer > choose model > Yast then installs the kernelmodule so the system can use the webcam. Including the gspcav module(which supports over 250 usb webcams) by default in the kernel like some other distros do would be an easier and more energy efficient option. See http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html for details about the gspcav kernel module. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
