[Bug 498638] New: clock, networkmanger, powerdevil broken after latest update, maybe dbus problems
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=498638 Summary: clock, networkmanger, powerdevil broken after latest update, maybe dbus problems Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: novellnervt@squealer.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/10.00 (X11; Linux i686; U; de) Presto/2.2.1 After the latest kde 4.2.2 updates from the buildservice, many things (that occoured earlier but seemed to be solved) are broken: - the standard digital clock is invisible, mouseover points to "0:00 h". "date" works. - the networkmanager applet is again not saving passphrases for wireless networks, also lost all known networks and only connects via cable. - the batteryicon is like "no battery" was found, shows also nothing but the "screenlight" bar, "powersave -b" complains about a VAR not set to divide, my research says, something from "hal" was not returned right (row 34 in /usr/bin/powersave) - no keycommands work. alt+f2 does nothing, also my self defined ones. "systemstettings -> keyboard shortcuts" complains about "No such object path '/KdedGlobalAccel' Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObjekt" Also some Plasmoids does not work anymore, the traditional menu button disappeared first but can be reassigned after a restart. Also, removements of plasmoids are not saved properly, I ended up with about three networkmanager plasmoids until I delete them from ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-aplletsrc by hand. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. activate build service repos for kde 4.2 2. zypper dup 3. wait and see Actual Results: lotta crap Expected Results: behaviour like before repos: KDE 4.2 Community, -Core, -Extra, -QT, os 11.1 OSS, - NON-OSS, -Update, -Web-cam, videolan, packman, buidlservice-games, dell -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
