From what I know, we just parse the vba streams on input and convert them to StarBasic. We cannot save (export) the modified version, just preserve the original stream. Noel, what do you think of it?

as comment #1 above, this is not supported nor is it as easy to support as you might expect
Additionally when attempt to save an alien ( Microsoft excel ) document that has been modified you already get a nag dialog saying
"This document may contain formanting and content than cannot be saved in Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP file format, do you want to save the document in this format anyway" etc.
Hmm, I may have turned this off some time ago, as saving of the contents and formatting works in most (simple) cases.
IIRC there used to be an additional message that specifically related to the issure regarding saving Macros, maybe that could be resurrected or perhaps it is a bug that it doesn't additionally get displayed
That would be good. The message above says "may" and if we know "it will", we should tell it to the user. Ideally by the time he tries to "save" the changes in the editor (or open it read only right away). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
