This is a known bug in the skype4pidgin plugin (https://code.google.com/p/skype4pidgin/issues/detail?id=239) and it got solved in rev665 (https://code.google.com/p/skype4pidgin/source/detail?r=665) so it would be nice to have updated packages in the repo.
