It appears to be an issue around the tlan module (which is the correct one for the NIC). In 11.0, tlan loads fine and everything works. In 11.1, tlan loads, can set static IP, etc and the card loads and shows in ifconfig, but no traffic appears to go beyond that binding. This is getting me extremely angry.
I'm sorry to hear that.
H/W: Compaq ProLiant 1600R
That is not really a full description.
And as I have said, multiple times, fresh install of openSuSE 11.0 does not have issue. Fresh install of openSuSE 11.1 HAS issue.
Please read comments before asking stupid questions.
From comment #1 you say: I've been doing some testing in a VM environment.
Hence my question asking about a VM environment, how is that a "stupid" question? Again, is this on "raw" hardware, or in a virtual machine that you are seeing this issue? Can you set up the network connection dynamically, or is static the only thing that works? Your log file shows that 1928 packets have been received by the device, so it looks like the driver is working properly as far as the kernel is concerned. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
