The problem is that CONFIG_RTC is enabled unconditionally. We reviewed the possibility of enabling it as a module, but the request came too late and caused problems in other areas. This will be addressed in the next version. Alternatively, you could use the HEAD[1] kernel, but that is our bleeding edge latest-and-greatest kernel which has absolutely zero guarantee of stability. Closing as WONTFIX.
