The main problem I had on oS 11.3 has apparently been fixed (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29839). I suppose the chances getting this regression resolved for 11.4 are rather slim, I don't even know how to produce a useful bug report out of this (if you have any idea I'm all ears).
The commits in mentioned in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29839#c2 are rather old. I would assume these are already included in the kernel of openSUSE 11.4. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

On the other hand the problem with the "intellegacy" appears more straightforward and like something I could look into myself with a bit of assistance. Now given that I'm totally unfamiliar with the codebase I'd really appreciate it if you or somebody else from the xorg team could at least have a quick look at the backtrace if there is anything that leaps to the eye (e.g an interface change), I posted this including the backtrace on opensuse-xorg last week.
Did you see the answer by Matthias? --> http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-xorg/2011-03/msg00003.html
Finally, what was the issue you mentioned in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=671140#c5 and did anything come out of that?
Oh. That was the failure, which happened already during startx (screen remained blank when running "X -retro"). This has been fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Guido, I apologize. I wasn't aware any longer that you've did the initial work to package this driver.

No problem. I also did not mean to imply that https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29839 still affects oS 11.4, symptoms were a bit different. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes I did, it helped me to produce the backtrace, see http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-xorg/2011-03/msg00004.html.

OK, this is different since it actually segfaults during a rendering operation. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
