The import window came up fine and everything looked like it was working correctly but I got a dialog saying f-spot encountered a fatal error. Subsequent media inserts don't have the same problem and it was never fatal in the first place from what I could tell. I wouldn't have opened a bug but I figured someone else might run into it so the more information the better.
