[Bug 368421] New: USB ports become unresponsive
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=368421 User sven.burmeister@gmx.net added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=368421#c1 Summary: USB ports become unresponsive Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I need some help in order to debug an issue that I can trigger by writing a few hundred MB of data to a usb-stick. At some point it aborts and after that no device on any usb-port works anymore. If I call lsusb it does not give any output and cannot be aborted or killed. root 5712 0.0 0.0 1820 784 pts/2 D+ 00:45 0:00 lsusb I did not find any debuginfo package for the usbutils package and hence I cannot run lsusb in gdb. I'm not sure whether the latter would work anyway, since I cannot abort lsusb, not even kill -9 works. dmesg gives me the following and nothing after the usb-ports stopped working. usb 6-5.3: new high
