[Bug 289181] New: 32bit PAM modules missing on 64bit
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=289181 Summary: 32bit PAM modules missing on 64bit Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: lrupp@novell.com ReportedBy: kukuk@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: mc@novell.com, ro@novell.com Found By: --- There are a lot of pam_* packages with PAM modules in 64bit on x86-64, for which we have no corresponding 32bit packages. As result, 32bit applications will not work on systems, where one of this PAM modules is used. A short list is: pam_apparmor pam_ccreds pam_chroot pam_cifs pam_mktemp pam_mount pam_p11 pam_passwdqc pam_pkcs11 pam_radius pam_smb pam_ssh pam_thinkfinger pam_userpass -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Should we create xxbit packages for _all_ available pam-packages? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

And yes, we need xxbit packages for _all_available pam-packages, or PAM will not work on biarch architectures in xxbit mode. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
