This can only work if org.freedesktop.accounts.user-administration is set to auth_admin_keep (instead of auth_admin, the current value). It'd also be nice to be able to have no authentication for org.freedesktop.accounts.change-own-user-data, but that might be blocked by the accountsservice review (bug 676638). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The user accounts panel in gnome-control-center has a "unlock" button to change settings of other users. This can only work if org.freedesktop.accounts.user-administration is set to auth_admin_keep (instead of auth_admin, the current value).
Done.
It'd also be nice to be able to have no authentication for org.freedesktop.accounts.change-own-user-data, but that might be blocked by the accountsservice review (bug 676638).
Yes, before making privileged operations default I'd really like to have someone take a look. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
