http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1197056 Bug ID: 1197056 Summary: Update to Tumbleweed 20220310 appears to have borked Gnote? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: 64bit OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: vermontpoet@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Kernel: 5.16.11-1-default x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.24.2 Distro: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20220310 (The following is largely copied from my Reddit post.) Launching Gnote fails with the following desktop notification: Launching Gnote Failed: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown When launched via Terminal, Gnote successfully runs but coughs up the following errors: (140528158771840) ERROR: error_handler - XML error: Extra content at the end of the document (140528158771840) ERROR: error_handler - XML error: Extra content at the end of the document And closing (in terminal): (gnote:16022): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 10:38:14.071: gtk_tree_model_sort_set_sort_column_id: assertion 'header != NULL' failed I'm able to reproduce this on both systems that have updated to the latest TW. This has also been reproduced on the latest KDE Live ISO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I don't get any of log messages, but the dbus error when launching gnote via plasmashell is the same. Interestingly, on my main system where I have a full GNOME install alongside KDE the issue does not occur - maybe some dbus dependency is missing? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
