[Bug 943315] New: multipathd fails while trying to add local drive
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=943315 Bug ID: 943315 Summary: multipathd fails while trying to add local drive Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: chapan@milwaukee.gov QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/44.0.2403.155 Safari/537.36 Build Identifier: The system has a ISCSI disk with two paths to it. If I enable multipathd the boot process fails trying to start LVM on the local drive (/dev/sda). If I boot with multipathd disabled and manually start multipathd, it loops trying to add /dev/sda I tried adding the local drive to the multipath.conf blacklist but that had no effect. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.start multipathd 2. 3. Actual Results: boot fails, or multipath loops Expected Results: I expected only the ISCSI drives to be added by multipathd Messages from boot.log when multipathd enabled: Starting Activation of LVM2 logical volumes...
