https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=266429 jeffm@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Component|Kernel |X.Org Resolution| |INVALID ------- Comment #1 from jeffm@novell.com 2007-04-19 18:29 MST ------- That's not the kernel seg faulting, it's the kernel reporting that a userspace process seg faulted. In this case, xfdesktop segfaulted twice, and then X itself did. I'm closing this one out as INVALID for several reasons: 1) You have the NVIDIA module loaded. 2) The problem is with X, see #1. 3) Since we've released openSUSE 10.2, we only offer security fixes for prior releases. Since it's not a kernel bug in any case, I'm switching the component to X.org. If you're able to reproduce this with openSUSE 10.2 (or FACTORY) without the NVIDIA module loaded, please re-open. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I do not have openSUSE 10.2 installed, but have rmeoved the NVIDIA module, using stock nv as provided by install. Reinstalled kernel w/o the NVIDIA module.
