[Bug 476434] New: util-linux: Support "-n" option for "renice"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=476434 Summary: util-linux: Support "-n" option for "renice" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: burnus@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- POSIX's "renice" has the syntax: renice -n increment [-g | -p | -u] ID ... unfortunately, util-linux's renice does not recognize the "-n", but only has: renice priority [[-p] pid ...] [[-g] pgrp ...] [[-u] user ...] Expected: renice [-n] priority ... where the "-n" is optional. Note: That also matches coreutils's "nice" which takes an option "-n" argument. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

--- Comment #2 from Tobias Burnus
Tobias, please report this to the util-linux-ng package, for details: http://userweb.kernel.org/~kzak/util-linux-ng/
OK. I wanted to report it upsteam, but I only found ("rpm -qi") the link http://kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/util-linux which points to a rather old page (cf. bug 479527). I have now reported it, cf. http://marc.info/?l=util-linux-ng&m=123557199212268 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
