See Comment 12. I have a Samsung P35 where s2ram works fine (s2ram -f when using the radeonfb with video=vesa:off vga=normal). When using powerdevil (from KDE 4.2) to suspend my machine it always does a s2disk and also resumes from disk. 's2ram -f' form konsole still works. This is true for openSUSE 11.1 with updated pm-utils and for 11.2 (Factory).
