The keys you type get repeated or alike and the password you enter does not match the one on the system. You have to log on as root to kill the keuphoria.kss process to resume your kde session. This is on KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.9" with all the security patches applied. The system is a Ahtlon64 with an generic ATI driver without 3D acceleration. So, the screen saver get a lot busy. Well, maybe the bug is in the KDE app manager that handles the password entrance...
