sax2 tries to use the following, which doesn't work.
Section "InputDevice" Driver "evdev" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Buttons" "10" Option "InputFashion" "Mouse" Option "Name" "Logitech USB Receiver" Option "Protocol" "event" Option "SendCoreEvents" "on" Option "Vendor" "Sysp" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection
works fine with my "Logitech MediaPlay". Boyd/Bart, could you provide the output of cat /proc/bus/input/devices |grep Name Seems to be different from mine. :-( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Boyd/Bart, could you provide the output of
cat /proc/bus/input/devices |grep Name

So instead of "Logitech USB Receiver" you get "Logitech USB RECEIVER". Could you try "Logitech USB R*" as Option "Name" in xorg.conf?
Am I just supposed to hijack an existing "InputDevice" section and replace it with "Logitech USB R*" ? Since sax2 didn't already add the section, I'm not sure what I'd fill in for all the other driver/options to add this mouse. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Strangely enough, when I run sax2 -r from a GNOME Terminal in my graphical desktop, SaX2 doesn't suffer the same problems. It comes up and stores the mouse correctly. I guess it's only when I'm running from a text-based tty terminal where I hit the problem.
Are you sure that the xorg.conf created this way works? I experienced something similar. I got X working through means other than sax2. Then, I ran sax2 from within gnome. It seemed to work properly, but when I rebooted X wouldn't start because the xorg.conf that was generated was broken in the same way as the temporary xorg.conf that sax2 tries to use when you run sax2 from runlevel 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
