[Bug 710750] New: Suspending (while X is started?) freezes the computer
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710750 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710750#c0 Summary: Suspending (while X is started?) freezes the computer Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vuntz@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I updated to latest Factory this morning, just before leaving for the Desktop Summit, and now I can't suspend anymore (will be a fun conference :-)) Symptoms: try to suspend, and see that the computer freezes, with blinking led. While trying to see how to fix this quickly, I noticed that if I start in failsafe, it works fine. My guess is that this related to X, but I didn't go further. I didn't see anything relevant in /var/log. Is there anything I can do to give more information? vuntz@etaules ~/>rpm -qa kernel-* kernel-desktop-base-3.0.0-2.1.i586 kernel-desktop-3.0.0-2.1.i586 kernel-default-3.0.0-2.1.i586 kernel-firmware-20110709-1.1.noarch kernel-default-base-3.0.0-2.1.i586 (note that this is with the desktop kernel, if default works, I'll add a comment) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
