If the mode is "Now and on Boot" then the setting is ignored. There is a bug, the widget should be disabled initially in the "Now and on Boot" mode. 2) "/usr/sbin/start-ntpd" is part of the "ntp" package openSUSE 13.2: # rpm -qf /usr/sbin/start-ntpd ntp-4.2.6p5-25.9.1.x86_64 Leap 42.1: # rpm -qf /usr/sbin/start-ntpd ntp-4.2.8p4-12.2.x86_64 The "ntp" package should be installed by YaST automatically when it is missing.
