https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=866448 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=866448#c0 Summary: [system-config-printer-applet] auth info dialog not showing Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@suse.com ReportedBy: mamachine@gmail.com QAContact: jsmeix@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 There is a bug in the package "system-config-printer-common-1.4.2-2.4.1.noarch" (on openSUSE 13.1) when you want to use a printer needing authentication (configured with "auth-info-required=username,password"). After printing a document the dialog asking for the username/password will never show because of a wrong key used in the source file "jobviewer.py" (it uses "auth_info_required" instead of "auth-info-required"). The problem can be solved by applying this simple patch (already applied on version 1.4.3 of system-config-printer) : https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/system-config-printer.git/commit/?id=f22de... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure a printer with "auth-info-required=username,password" 2. Print a document from a non-gtk application (LibreOffice by example) Actual Results: You will never see the auth dialog asking for username/password. Expected Results: Show the auth dialog asking for username/password. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
