https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=358561 User moeller0@gmx.de added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=358561#c2 --- Comment #2 from Sebastian Moeller 2008-02-04 11:50:20 MST --- Erm, sorry to correct myself; actually upgrading to NetwokManager-kde 0.7r759902-11, did make manual configuration non functional; at least today (unlike past friday) I can not get it working again with KNetworkManager except in AUTO(dhcp) mode (as reported in one other networkmanager bugzilla entry, the interface is only assigned a proper set of addresses after KNetworkManager is started). No matter whether I reverse the IP addresses or not I end up with a non working setup (dmesg shows "martian source 255.255.255.255 from 192.168.0.1," (my DNS server) "on dev eth0", probably indicating a whacked netmask...). Again sorry for my confusion, happy to test and/or retry.
