avr-libc, cross-avr-binutils, cross-avr-gcc45 have been dropped from openSUSE:Factory, the confusion should go away now.
Detlef, can we close this issue? I.e. is CrossToolchain:avr working for you? Yes you can close thic case. Instead of using the CrossToolchain:avr you provided me, I use an copy of the original toolchain comming with 11.2. Because of some configuration issues with eclipse and its avr-plugin regarding to the file structure of CrossToolchain:avr.
But nevertheless, thank you for your efforts and pardon me because of this late answer. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Thanks for mentioning this eclipse issue. Is this something, I could fix within CrossToolchain:avr ? I think there is no need to fix something within the toolchain. In the meantime I have updated my eclipse from helios to indigo and managed the avr configuration well by using the actual CrossToolchain:avr project.
Thank you for your help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
