[Bug 1187352] GCC11 with LTO miscompile aespipe
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1187352
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1187352#c12
--- Comment #12 from Bruno Friedmann
The analysis in the upstream bugreport concludes that this is a error in aespipe. It should be fixed there (ideally by an upstream patch).
-Werror=strict-aliasing should point at the exact problem in code.
a workaround could be -fno-strict-aliasing.
Thank you Dirk for the comment, this is the way fedora handle it # Package calls CC to link, and violates strict-aliasing C rules %set_build_flags CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -fno-strict-aliasing" %configure LDFLAGS="${CFLAGS}" With comment in changes - Disable strict-aliasing due to non-conforming code in aes.c (word_in, word_out). I guess it is okay for us to go the same path. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
