After the installation ot the system and logging to KDE my software keys work (keys to handle sound level and mute/unmute, there appears some gray box with a progress bar on the desktop). Then I did some things like copy my old config files to ~/.kde, install the rest of media support and then shutdown the computer. When I turned the computer the second time there was no responce after pressing the keys, the sound level remains, no box with the progress bar appears. My roommate have an Asus A6 series laptop and have the same problem (he did not change/copy any config file like I did). Unfortunately he did not test the software keys during the very first session. I am glad that this keys work natively in KDE (althought only for the first time) because it did not work on 10.2. I had to use some external SW like lapsusd. It would be nice, if there would be the same box for brightness.
