[Bug 201120] eject: cannot use volume labels
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=201120 ------- Comment #11 from kssingvo@novell.com 2006-11-16 02:09 MST ------- To clarify this: the issue was present in 10.1 (don't know, if still, I don't run 10.1 anymore). It's reproduceable present in 10.2, but I made a mistake in the description how to reproduce. :-( What I did wrong was this: eject requires to be "root" to work, whereas kdeject doesn't complain about this. So the right way to reproduce is this: 0. open the terminal window 1. do as normal user: kdeeject <<volume_label>> --> it fails 2. do as normal user: eject <<volume_label>> --> it fails with the hint to become root. 3. become root and do again: eject <<volume_label>> --> "eject" works. Sorry for confusion. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
