Scanning documents OpenSuse version of LibreOffice Word fails. Works fine with Debian Mint, Sabayon, Windows XP (same hardware). Tested on OS 12.2 host and new installations in Oracle VirtualBox with Oracle extensions on OS 12.2 Host with OS 12.2 Gnome 3 and KDE, Debian Mint and Sabayon Mate guest. Scanning with 'Simple Scan' application and HP scanner test work fine. Debian Mint and Sabayon Mate Desktops work fine. Hans Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. New install and update OS 12.2 with Gnome 3, KDE or other Desktop. 2. Start LibreOffice Word, 3. Insert -> Picture -> Scan -> Select Source. Change from default scan mode to Line Art, 300DPI. Scan a document. Then change scan mode to Grey and 200DPI. Scan next document. 4. Result: ERROR Scan Failed or similar. Actual Results: Error Message indicating scan failure or nothing. Sometimes LibreOffice Word just crashes when trying to change scnning parameters Expected Results: Scanned document or image inserted into the open LibreOffice Word document.
