[Bug 789711] New: Folder View filtering does not retain setting
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789711 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789711#c0 Summary: Folder View filtering does not retain setting Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: tonysu@su-networking.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 KDE: 4.8.5 (4.8.5) "release 2" Modifying the filtering properties of a KDE Folder View does not lock in changes when clicking "OK" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Preparation: In the Default KDE Folder View, create or copy a text file to the folder, Then open the file and modify the file contents. You should then see not only the original text file but a backup to that file with a trailing tilde. 1. Unlock Desktop Widgets 2. Click on default Folder View (pointing to Desktop folder) 3. Click on Properties icon to view "Folder View Settings" 4. Click on "Filter" in Navigation pane 5. Select "Hide Files Matching" 6. Click on "Deselect All" button 7. Click on "File Types" to put mouse focus on input field 8. Type tilde (~), Content pane should display "backup file" with all associated file types 9. Click on Apply, note that the Folder View on the Desktop immediately displays files with new settings. 10. Click on OK to close the "Folder View Settings," note that the new settings are lost and the backup files are visible again. Actual Results: Folder View will display only unfiltered results, filtering settings are not retained Expected Results: Expect to see filtered results (no backup files) This worked as expected in KDE 4.2 on openSUSE 11.3 but does not work in this version of KDE. My guess is that the "OK" button may be wired up incorrectly to the "Cancel" code or otherwise disgards changes when closing Filtering Settings window. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
