Yes, that���s our interpretation of https://peps.python.org/pep-0394/ ��� the point is that there are so many Python 2 scripts flowing around, which would all break when /usr/bin/python is suddenly Python 3. If you are willing to risk it, then just create symlink /usr/bin/python3 -> /usr/local/bin/python (please, not to /usr/bin/, but /usr/local/bin) and be done with it.
