[Bug 1077532] New: libxcb 1.11.1-9.1 cause "No protocol found" warnings
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1077532 Bug ID: 1077532 Summary: libxcb 1.11.1-9.1 cause "No protocol found" warnings Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org Assignee: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: jan.kiszka@web.de QA Contact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- When updating libxcb from 1.11.1-6.1 to -9.1, I'm getting "No protocol found" warnings on the console that starts some X program. The program apparently works fine, but the messages can are at least annoying. After doing some strace, I think that the newer libxcb version starts the handshake with the X server with some improper message, and that is answered by the server with the abover error. I have no idea about protocol details, but maybe something relevant goes wrong here, and it's more than an annoying warning. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
