[Bug 639606] New: csh.cshrc.local path issue
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=639606 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=639606#c0 Summary: csh.cshrc.local path issue Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: nicholas-jones@uiowa.edu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/533.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/5.0.375.99 Safari/533.4 If I add path information to /etc/csh.cshrc.local on my installation of OpenSuse 11.3 (and other versions), I have a strange issue where the path contains duplicates. I could use /etc/csh.login.local, but for some reason any alias' I put in there don't work. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: GUESSING. 1. Install OpenSuse 11.3 2. Extend path (setenv PATH "${PATH}:/usr/test/") in /etc/csh.cshrc.local and login to kde4 with tcsh default shell 3. Note /usr/test/ listed twice in PATH Actual Results: /usr/test/ only listed twice. Expected Results: /usr/test/ only listed once. I'm using an NFS home directory. No ~/.cshrc or ~/.tcshrc files I've been dealing with this strange issue for awhile now, but it's become untenable (either aliases are broken "/etc/csh.login.local", or the path is too long and other things break "/etc/csh.cshrc.local"). I can grep every file in the file system and I'm only adding this stuff once, meaning it's getting sourced twice which is very annoying. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But as openSUSE 11.3 is no longer supported, could you tell if you still have the problem with later versions? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
