[Bug 352661] New: system global Firefox extensions location change
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=352661 Summary: system global Firefox extensions location change Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Currently the SUSE Firefox package looks for system-wide extensions in %{_libdir}/browser-extensions/firefox (and Thunderbird in browser-extensions/thunderbird) Mozilla is now introducing %{_libdir}/mozilla/extensions as systemwide extension directory. AFAICS the only package using that in openSUSE is beagle-firefox. For 11.0 we should move beagle-firefox to the new location and make Firefox aware of that (in case we don't already have Firefox 3.0 in 11.0 timeframe). Maybe we should support the old directory in Firefox for compat reasons. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I don't really understand why it's worth the effort, TBH... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Right, that's basically the same conclusion I came to (although I do care about beagle, at least a little bit ;)). If and when we decide to put firefox 3 on older distros (probably just SLE10), we can revisit this, but until then I'm fine with it being closed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
