[Bug 478435] New: USB ADSL modem causes infinitive loop while booting system (regression)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=478435 Summary: USB ADSL modem causes infinitive loop while booting system (regression) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- USB ADSL modem causes infinitive loop while booting system (regression) Major: because in other words there is no way computer can restart automatically, manual intervention is required every time In opensuse 10.3 (not the same computer, but the same modem) -- no problems. In OS 11.1 when the modem is plugged in, while booting up the computer, system falls into infinite loop and displays tons of this message ATM dev 0: usbatm_complete: usb 0xfff... failed (-84)! where 0xfff.... is number in hex, each time (line) different. I (user) have to unplug the modem, and then press enter. In my case next there is password for LUKS. There is no problem with modem, when system is normally running, everything works fine (I write this report using connection via this very modem). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
