I backed out to system set of gstreamer packages to troubleshoot on a known baseline. System had an install of 11.4 for / but a re-used /home partition. I went to my .config directory and removed the totem directory and relogged into Gnome in case there were local settings there... I believe that the only pm apps are the libnice and ffmpeg libraries.
