[Bug 1060118] openipmigui crashes on open
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1060118 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1060118#c15 Andreas Stieger <astieger@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |astieger@suse.com --- Comment #15 from Andreas Stieger <astieger@suse.com> --- The two missing files are: +/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/openipmigui/gui_winsys.py +/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/openipmigui/gui_winsys.pyc But there is no "import gui_winsys" in the upstream Git-Tag v2.0.21. This bug was introduced into our package by OpenIPMI_2.0.21_to_HEAD.patch, released with the original SP2 as a regression, an thus inherited into Leap from 42.2.

- Update to latest git commit: a01bbe94efff3a5f239b3b5440c8..052d36ec88515c1b1177faa442833e3 Add: OpenIPMI_2.0.21_to_HEAD.patch
The upstream build script fix is (from 2.0.23) https://sourceforge.net/p/openipmi/code/ci/386ba9fb33829aa405f5e621373fba6ef... Also relevant (included in OpenIPMI_2.0.21_to_HEAD.patch) https://sourceforge.net/p/openipmi/code/ci/b5508cc4d5f4b595d8c4df6d61d019c6f... The minimal fix would be to actually ship the missing file. You do not need to include the bugfix for bug 1069468. The following change is not necessary and should be avoided. -/sbin/rcipmi +/usr/sbin/rcipmi This affects Leap and should go to SLE maintenance as it is inherited from there. Thomas, can I ask you to submit a fix? We would not normally look for version updates, however in this case, especially in light of dropping OpenIPMI_2.0.21_to_HEAD.patch, would seem a viable alternative. Please submit to SLE maintenance accordingly. If you really want we can for the Leap package, although in this case I do not think it is necessarily. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
