Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: week@altlinux.ru QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20110328 Firefox/7.0.1 I'm create distributive in Suse Studio, based on openSUSE 11.4 with kernel-pae from openSUSE 12.1. Try to boot system, but have kernel oop before starting initrd. In this case i can't add oops dump here. I'm make test with PAE kernels before 3x - all work fine, but all kernel >= 3 oops at boot time. With out PAE 3x kernel work fine. Could you try to boot in failsafe mode ? so maxcpu=1 will be active it look like oops in smp code ... Then did you try to boot a new 12.1 livecd with a normal provided kernel. normally kernel-desktop-3.1.0-1.2.1.x86_64 If it works, then, you have mainly a fault somewhere in your susestudio image. Perhaps a new build could resolve that. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
