However the terminal prompt starts only from middle or lower part of the screen. I tested with gnomer-terminal, xfce-terminal and konsole-kde3. All of these are working fine with my command. I also checked with screen -list which shows no session exists before I click the launcher. I will attach a screen shot to show this. What graphic card/driver to do use? I use full screen by manually editing konsolerc only and --geometry parameter can not help. If I change the window size back to default, it will be fine. I tried again without kwin4 desktop effect (I do not use compiz), konsole acts the same way. I realize the very first time after system boots up, the konsole launcher gives me the correct one I want. This really confuses me.
