[Bug 960234] Blender does not allow to import videos
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=960234 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=960234#c1 Dave Plater <davejplater@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags| |needinfo?(pintman@bakera.de | |) --- Comment #1 from Dave Plater <davejplater@gmail.com> --- (In reply to Marco Bakera from comment #0) Yes blender-2.71 is compiled without ffmpeg support and it only supports basic pcm audio, once there was avi and ogg support but it seems to have disappeared. There wasn't an ffmpeg in 13.2 to build against. Even the Leap:42.1 blender- doesn't build against ffmpeg. I enabled ffmpeg support after Leap:42.1 and I have a linked package in Packman but it cannot build for 13.2 because there isn't OpenImageIO and pugixml in 13.2, needed for blender "Cycles". An update for 13.2 wouldn't be possible, it involves too many packages. If you updated to Leap:42.1 an update would be a simple patch to enable ffmpeg or you could install from Packman which will have the latest blender with full ffmpeg support from now on. It follows graphics/blender. I can disable "Cycles" in Packman 13.2 and that will build. Lastly I'm busy enabling ffmpeg for 13.2 in home:plater:blender, you can install from there and have the latest blender, it contains all the packages needed, I'm just having a problem with ffmpeg not finding a library. If you wish to go this route I will fix it. This is my staging project for graphics/blender which also affects packman so I can only make the packages available for a limited time. Which route do you wish to go? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
