I am unable to use git clone or git-init + git-fetch to fetch from my subversion repository *unless* I do NOT use any of: -T trunk, -t tags, -b branches. I totally bare checkout: git-svn init $URL local cd local git-svn fetch that appears to work fine. Regarding my old checkout (from openSUSE 10.3), 'git fetch' *does not work*. I used the usual -T trunk -t tags -b branches when I checked that out.
