[Bug 972751] New: "Failed to set X11 keyboard" error in text mode upgrade/autoinstall
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=972751 Bug ID: 972751 Summary: "Failed to set X11 keyboard" error in text mode upgrade/autoinstall Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: adaugherity@tamu.edu QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Background: https://github.com/yast/yast-country/issues/65 When performing a text-mode autoyast install of Leap 42.1 or SLES 12 SP1 (but not SLES 12 GA), the message "Failed to set X11 keyboard to 'english-us'" pops up at the initial license screen. It also happens when doing a text-mode upgrade, even without any autoyast. I have encountered it when upgrading from SLES 11 SP3/SP4 to SLES 12 SP1; I haven't yet attempted an upgrade from older openSUSE to Leap 42.1 but I'm 99% sure it would happen there too. In the upgrade case, the message also pops up again at the installation summary screen (the one where you can change package selections, etc. before confirming to start the upgrade). If you make some changes, it pops up again every time you return to the summary screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
