[Bug 413363] New: kNetworkManager Can' t Connect to Wireless After Resume from Disk

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=413363 Summary: kNetworkManager Can't Connect to Wireless After Resume from Disk Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: cody.jarrett@itfreedom.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I'm running openSuse 11 on a macbook pro. I often suspend to disk, and when I resume, my wireless won't automatically connect back to the wireless. I click the network manager icon in the task bar, and under ath0, my wireless interface, I only have the option to "connect to other network". I can expand that and see the network I want, and when I select it the icon changes to the rotating gear and never connects. tailing /var/log/messages produces no activity while I try to connect. The only way I can get it to connect to the wireless network, other than fully rebooting, is to open Yast, network setting, and go to the global options tab. Then I select "traditional method with ifup" and save the settings all the way back out. Then I run network settings again and change back to "User controlled with networkmanager", save all the settings and it will connect. I'm running the latest version of madwifi (0.9.4) for my wireless card. The lspci output shows the card below. Please let me know what else I can provide to assist. 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc.
