Am I right in assuming that this is all you were missing ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This GUI feature is incompatible with sloppy focus I am using. I had to move Empathy window just to the edge of the GNOME Shell panel to be able to see that menu. :-( -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Ah, I was not aware, that this icon represents a menu.
Ok, hence closing the bug as invalid

Yeah.. sloppy mouse has been a source for complaints in many bugs, also upstream.. That's indeed an issue of the 'Application Menu' mode. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803565 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803565#c4 --- Comment #4 from Stanislav Brabec <sbrabec@suse.com> 2013-02-13 18:30:34 CET --- 20 years ago, AmigaOS had this menu style well designed and compatible with sloppy focus: - Go to the window - Press right button (anywhere with no special right button meaning) - Application menu appears in the Amiga Shell panel (Amiga Shell was capable of both menus and pull-down sub-menus in the Shell panel, not only one pull-down menu as GNOME Shell has). - Without releasing of the right mouse button, move to selected menu. - Select the proper item and release right mouse button. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
